Plane Crash

Debris lays along the Highway 31 roadside after a small plane crashed just south of Correctionville, Iowa, Sunday morning, Dec. 2, 2012. According to local media accounts two passengers in the plane were killed when the plane landed in a corn field Saturday evening, Dec. 1, 2012, while the pilot was burned over a majority of his body and take to a hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. Woodbury County, Iowa, Sheriff’s deputies will return to investigate the crash site. (Photo by Jerry Mennenga©)
