Siouxland in autumn light, Rural Plymouth County

6 Nov

With the recent change in time, falling back an hour, and the cooler temperatures, shooting around sunset gets easier and earlier in Siouxland. Those somewhat warm autumn days that remain and the cooling down of temps as night nears creates some nice clouds and then the sun just goes to work later. It is a great time to be out shooting photos. I wandered up to Le Mars, Iowa, this past week just enjoying the drive and looking at the scenery. Yes, it is either harvested corn or soybean fields or unharvested cornfields, but add the clouds and a larger landscape and flyover country takes on a new look. Jerry Mennenga Sioux City, Iowa
