Like a good portion of the country, Siouxland is currently finding itself in the single digit range for temperature. And this doesn’t preclude the digit being south of zero as in minus. Toss in some windchill and recently local meteorologists stated the winchill over night and early morning hovered around a -25 degrees below zero. Very chilly.
The first snowfall of the season for the immediate Sioux City area was not eventful, maybe 1-2 inches. Places north received more, and more snow for them, 6-10 inches more, is predicted. Here, maybe another 1-2 inches. But walking around, even within 2-3 blocks is bone chilling. No matter how many layers one wears.
