It’s August, the summer heat and humidity is here and is ramping up. Farmers are happy because no major storms have damaged any crops and there has been enough rain to nurture the crops to a good looking yield so far. And the local farmer’s market is just hitting its stride. The marker in Sioux City lasts through early October. Yes, some of the offerings change, and slim down a bit, but as any creative cook will tell you, learn to use what is currently available and enjoy.
