The beginning of December saw an overly heavy snowfall covering most of Siouxland. The farther north one went the more snow. Sioux City received a little over 6 inches. Communities north and east received up to 12 inches. I paid a visit to a local state park, Stone State Park. I try to get there a few times during the year. It is always changing with the seasons. This snowfall made it a bit magical. Not even many critters were venturing about. I am hoping for a few more snowfalls like this this winter, to go snowshoeing. It was not terribly cold so all the more enjoyable. Besides, coffee or hot chocolate sounds very inviting afterwards.
