Counting the Days in Siouxland, Stone State Park

27 Feb

Recently I went for a walk in a local park, Stone State Park in Sioux City, Iowa. It’s wonderful that some of the local parks in Siouxland are state parks. During the entire year it is open to people walking in them. During the winter vehicle roads are shut down except at the entrances, where cars can enter the park but then must park. I admit that I am counting the days to when spring will be here. And I am happy to admit I saw a number of various groups of geese flying overhead heading to wherever their northern travels take them. I also saw a robin in my backyard. A good sign. Although I know there is probably one could snow storm left in Mother Nature’s winter closet, I looking forward to posting photos with less white and more green.
