Christmas Sounds in Siouxland, A Touch of Brass, Vermillion, SD

18 Dec

With the holiday season in Siouxland comes familiar Christmas sounds and songs. The National Music Museum at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, SD, hosts brown bag lunches, and the last one of the year generally involves a group that plays Christmas tunes. A Touch of Brass performed at this last lunch and cheered people with popular renditions along with some operatic songs they also play.

And as the days count down until the big guy, Santa, arrives, we all busy ourselves with preparations and last minute gift purchases. But should always take time to stop and listen and appreciate those songs we really only hear once a year.
