One recent warm day in February a stray cat found a perch on a stone wall and just enjoyed himself sunbathing. However I take it one of the locals was not happy and was keeping a wary eye. The squirrels have grown used to my own cats who don’t bother them as they go about frolicking in the neighborhood, but once a distant cousin moves through the area or stops to sunbathe, the chatty refrain begins and the alerts are sounded.

Neighborhood cats stay away from my porch whilst the bird feeder in front window is for my indoor cats viewing pleasure
Washe,
The indoor cats don’t want to share? May cats don’t bother anymore. I lecture them about fleas and the fact the squirrels are just fun to watch. And for the most part, they just watch.
