Recently I have made a couple trips to Council Bluffs to photograph 2020 Democrat presidential candidate hopefuls visiting Iowa to sway them to support their candidacy. But I also took time to enjoy the holiday spirit in Siouxland, even through small gestures as local businesses and museums have begun putting up Christmas Decorations.

Not overly decorated, the Railroad Museum still tells its story of how Union Pacific and the railroads industry impacted communities, Council Bluffs, notwithstanding. And as the saying goes, sometimes less is more.

Every place is worth a visit. Some are just more appealing than another depending on the individual person and their personal interests. Can say some places visited left more disappointed than others, but that’s part of life sometimes. Have a merry Christmas.
