O’Connor House
9 Nov
The kitchen area of the O’Connor House provided a place for volunteers to make cookies and hot cider to serve to guests. The kitchen is outfitted with period pieces, not necessarily part of the original homestead. Located outside of Homer, Nebraska, the annual holiday opening was Saturday, Nov. 7, 2014. The residence, completed in 1875 by Capt. Cornelius O’Connor, was restored and is run by the Dakota County, Nebraska, Historical Society. (Photo by Jerry L Mennenga©)
