Thomas and Maren Larson, buried in the Ingemann Danish Lutheran Church cemetery outside of Moorehead, Iowa. Their photograph and some information hangs in the entry way of the Ingemann Danish Lutheran church.
Thomas emigrated to America from Denmark in 1881. Citizenship papers show the name Lauridsen, but later a marriage certificate shows the name Larson.
Maren Christensen was born in Vorda, Denmark in 1861 and came to America in 1884. Thomas and Maren married in the same year she arrived and farmed in Willow Township in the vicinity for 10 years, then moved to a farm across from the Ingemann Church. Maren planted peony bushes in the cemetery of the church that are still blooming today.
Thomas died in 1919 and Maren passed in 1948.
