There are some days while out in Siouxland that I just want to enjoy the day. Every hopeful, maybe, that I will find a critter or bird to photograph and be happy with that. And then there are those days, spring and fall, with wonderful temperatures and no humidity that it is just nice to be out and present.

Besides getting a little exercise walking about, I enjoy seeing the changes that will be taking place in parks and other locations that I visit often. This visit it was still early spring and not much was visually changing with the trees and landscape.

But some flora and fauna was beginning to sprout and give passersby notice that spring was indeed approaching soon heavy coats and hats could be left home, or in the car. Although this spring temperatures some mornings still hovered around the low 30’s, with some overnights even in the 20’s. But the sunshine was helping to nuture nature and jump start the process.

      SMILE..

My neighbor has a crop of them. When at work, I sneak over and plug a bunch out of the ground to keep them from spreading. Always scratch my head and remember when Granny on the Beverly Hillbillies talked about making dandelion greens for a meal. Though I hear dandelion wine has an unique taste to it.
